CoolSculpting

Coolsculpting-results1-300x118Do you have stubborn fat that will not go away despite earnest efforts at diet and exercise? Coolsculpting is an innovative, noninvasive procedure that can eliminate fat cells in a simple office procedure. The science behind CoolSculpting by Zeltiq™, called Cryolipolysis™, was developed by dermatologists at Harvard Medical School. Their research demonstrated that fat cells are naturally more sensitive to the effects of cold. By using advanced tissue cooling technology, CoolSculpting by Zeltiq™ can destroy fat cells through a controlled cooling process leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed.

The most common areas treated are the lower abdomen and love handles (aka “muffin top”), but any area of pesky fat can be targeted, such as inner thighs, back fat, and excess breast tissue in men. After a virtually painless procedure, clinical improvement is evident within 2 to 4 months.

Additional treatments can be performed to attain additional fat destruction. After the treatment, normal activities can be resumed immediately– there is no recovery time. Fat reduction with no cutting, no needles, and no recovery? How cool is that?    »Visit Website

Ultherapy

UltheraResults-300x97Ultherapy is a revolutionary treatment that uses ultrasound waves to lift and tighten the skin. The sound waves are very focused and intense energy that penetrates deep into the skin at the same level addressed in surgery. The ultrasound delivered into the skin gently heats the tissue and stimulates the skin to produce collagen—resulting in a lifting and tightening effect on loose skin without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. The creation of new collagen also give the skin a more youthful glow. This procedure is used around the eyes to lift the brow, which in turn reduces the excess skin on the lids, opens up the eyes and gives a more refreshed appearance. It is also used on the lower face—cheeks, chin, and neck—to provide a lower face and neck lift, resulting in a more defined jawline and a reduction in the skin laxity of the lower face and neck.

UltheraResults2-300x152The beauty of Ultherapy is that it is a 30 to 60 minute procedure that uses the body’s own subtle healing response to gently, gradually-and reliably-restore memory to the skin and its underlying tissue. Ultherapy requires no special recuperation or preparation and typically only takes one treatment to get a meaningful response. Patients enjoy some initial effect immediately following the procedure, but the ultimate lifting will take 2 – 3 months, as tired collagen is rejuvenated and supplemented with new, stronger collagen.

There isn’t a replacement for the dramatic effects of surgery, but Ultherapy offers a natural, ‘no downtime’ approach to noticeably improving lax skin. »Visit Website

ThermiVa

Childbirth and the natural aging process cause changes which may affect feminine wellness. A particularly strenuous vaginal childbirth, multiple births, and the effects of menopause can cause physical changes which can rob women (and their partners) of their sense of well-being and happiness.  ThermiVa treatments use radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to rejuvenate collagen, without discomfort or downtime. »Visit Website

With COVID-19, we’re reminded that none of us are invincible. It’s important to maintain a strong immune system for our health, no matter what age we are. Diet is a HUGE part of our immune system; these are some foods that can help naturally boost your immune system.

✨Ginger – A popular ingredient we turn to after getting sick. This is because it has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help soothe a sore throat and other inflammatory illnesses.

✨Almonds – We don’t always think of Vitamin E when fighting off a cold, but Vitamin E is key to a healthy immune system. Nuts (like almonds) are packed with Vitamin E and also a great source for healthy fats!

✨Citrus fruits – Were all familiar with the health benefits of Vitamin C, but did you know it’s not just Oranges that are rich in Vitamin C, Grapefruits, Limes, Lemons, Tangerines, and Clementines are just as Vitamin C rich.

✨Broccoli – Clearly is the superstar of the group. Packed with Vitamin A, C, and E as well as other antioxidants and fiber, a serving of Broccoli a day and you’ll be good to go! The trick is keeping all vitamins and minerals in tacked when eat it. Try cooking it as little as possible.

✨Papaya – Still not a fan or citrus? That’s ok Papaya is loaded with Vitamin C. One Papaya has 224% of the daily recommended amount of Vitamin C.

✨Kiwi – You can’t go wrong with Kiwi’s, they’re naturally full of essential nutrients like folate, potassium, vitamin K, and vitamin C!

✨Yogurt – To regulate your immune system and boost your body’s natural defenses against disease, Vitamin D is your go-to. Yogurt can be a great source of Vitamin D, if you get the right kind. Look for “live and active cultures” like Greek yogurt. Also, aim for plain yogurts you can sweeten yourself with honey and fruit, not the stuff loaded with sugar.

✨Green Tea - Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is a powerful antioxidant found in Green tea. EGCG has been shown to enhance immune function.

✨Red bell peppers – Believe it or not, the BEST source of Vitamin C isn’t citrus but Red bell peppers. One Red bell pepper has twice the amount of Vitamin C as citrus. Not only will they boost your immune system, Red bell peppers will also help maintain healthy skin. BONUS.
