What is miraDry®?
miraDry® is a safe and clinically proven solution to provide a reduction of underarm sweat, odor and hair in a completely non-invasive way. Antiperspirants only temporarily disable the sweat glands for varying lengths of time and require repeated use to maintain effectiveness. Surgical options poses inherent risks, while other solutions only addresses sweat and is required every 4-12 months. With miraDry® you can achieve the ultimate underarm in as little as one treatment, to live a clean, carefree and confident life.
How Does miraDry® Work?
miraDry utilizes thermal technology through a hand held medical device to eliminate sweat and odor glands located in the auxilla area of the underarm. Once the sweat & odor glands are eliminated they do not regenerate. The pain free treatment lasts about 1 hour per arm. You can expect minimal to no downtime following miraDry® treatment. You should be able to return to normal activities or work right away, and you can typically resume exercise within several days. Localized soreness or swelling is normal, and usually clears within a few weeks. Some patients have temporary altered sensation in their underarm or upper arm skin, which gradually disappears.
