PDO Thread Lift

One of the foremost complaints from our cosmetic patients is sagging skin or jowling. Patients frequently pull at their lateral cheeks and express their desire for just a slight lift. This subtle lift is now possible through a simple, outpatient, minimally invasive procedure. In a PDO Thread Lift, a suspension suture is inserted into the deeper layers of skin to reposition the skin in a lifted position. These sutures may be used for brow lifts to help with heavy brows or to create a more attractive arch. They can be placed along the lateral cheek to lift the cheek and jawline, and they can also be used off the face for neck and other areas of saggy skin. A local anesthetic is used to ensure that the procedure is very comfortable. Insertion sites are hidden and very discreet, so there is no scarring or external sutures. The procedure is fairly quick. There is no downtime, but slight swelling and bruising is possible. Patients should refrain from strenuous physical activity for 1-2 weeks, and the procedure should not be done around any dental appointments. Results can last 1-2 years.
